Flying Leathernecks Aviation Museum

The Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum, located on the grounds MCAS Miramar is dedicated to preserving the incredible contributions made by the men and women of Marine Corps Aviation. It is the only Museum in the world solely dedicated to United States Marine Corps aviation, with the largest and most complete collection of vintage aircraft flown by Marine pilots in the world. The Museum tells the proud story of USMC Aviation and the part it has played in defending America. The Flying Leathernecks Historical Foundation provides volunteers to restore historic aircraft and staff the Museum six days per week. It also provides funds and materials to support the restoration and maintenance of the vintage aircraft, fund Museum operations and educational programs, and preserve artifacts.
