Two Socorro High School students were recognized at the Jan. 29 meeting for their academic achievements as this year’s first Rotary Students of the Month. 

Naomi Garcia (left) was honored for her work in social studies. She plans to study graphic design at the University of New Mexico. 

Sarah Moncrief (right) was honored by the SHS vocational education department for her achievements. She plans to study early childhood development after graduation. Accompanying the students was SHS teacher Pam Vega.
