Rotary Meeting Oct 7

PP Ron presided today introducing 5 guests to the 10 club members attending. Highlight was our speaker Peter Steele who spoke yet once again on Rotary Foundation. Peter focused on 'Our World - not as it is, but what it could be' .... given all that Foundation does and the collective commitment of Rotarians to help make our world better. Foundation has a goal of $100 contribution per member and Peter promises us to show us how to do that so that it is painless and we won't notice? Stay tuned! District Governor Elect Garry Hollingshead spoke briefly in support of Foundation and also jrRYLA - a camp later this month in Naramata for our younger leaders. We will be sponsoring 2 students from Osoyoos. Ron held a draw for the Concert Series the club is sponsoring and congratulations to both Sarah and Harold who won 4 tickets each.
