Rotary Meeting July 22

Youth exchange ... what Rotary does best! 14 members heard from this year's outbound student Sacha Papadimetrious and our 2007/8 inbound student Natalie from Australia (see picture attached with Corinna). Great presentations! Sacha leaves in 2 weeks for Naga City in the Becol Province of the Philippines. Did you know there are 7107 islands there? He has already met his first host family and seen pictures of the colorful 'doll' house in which he will live (with 2 maids and a driver!). Sacha has prepared himself well for his year. Natalie spoke about her time since Osoyoos which included projects in Indonesia, time on a tall ship and her passion of Queens Scouting. Her plans are to go to vocational school and take courses in tourism. Ron won the 50/50 but fell short of the big one. Note the speakers for the next four weeks ... interesting!
