Another fun meeting - this one presided very confidently by PE Cheryle ... 14 members and 4 guests heard Jim Newman, Manager of Community Development for Osoyoos speak to us on his role and the upcoming integrated Community Sustainability Plan. Jim has been in this position since August of last year and brings a wealth of experience from successful roles most recently in Edmonton. In addition to the Community Development role, Jim has been charged with economical development which he views as the attraction, retention and expansion of businesses in Osoyoos. Jim stressed the importance of the upcoming meetings January 14 (7:00 - 9:00pm) and 15 (9:30 - 3:30) at the Sonora Centre at which everyone is invited to attend and express their vision of Osoyoos, what is most important and critical to each of us. This input will go a long way in defining the strategy that will guide our Community. This is a great opportunity for us to participate in a community action plan so please attend if you can. Holly is a member of the Community sustainability Action Team that is sponsoring this event. A good Q&A followed an excellent lunch. Sarah attended the meeting sporting her Coyotes jersey - the club's Christmas present!
