District Governor Andrew "Andy" Hagan 2018-2019
 
Andrew Hagan is an active member in good standing of the Rotary Club of Brownsville Sunrise having joined Rotary in 1995. Andrew currently serves as District 5930 Governor Elect for the 2018-2019 Rotary year. Andrew has served in various District leadership positions over the past 17 years including District Trainer, District Rotary Foundation chairman, Rotary Foundation Annual Funds chair, District Conference chair and The Rotary Foundation Million Dollar Dinner chairman multiple times, Lt. Governor, Assistant Governor, District’s Strategic Planning and District Emergency Preparedness committees upon fulfilling his responsibilities as Rotary Club president having served at the pleasure of Frank J. Devlyn, RI President in 2000-2001. Andrew has been recognized as Rotarian of the Year by District 5930 multiple times and is a recipient of The Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service Award in 2015 and the Cliff Dochterman
Award in 2017.
 
Andrew and Elsa, his loving wife of 32 years and his whole family share a passion for “Doing Good in the World” by supporting The Rotary Foundation. Andrew and Elsa are Multiple Paul Harris Fellows, Major Donors, and Bequest Society members having included The Rotary Foundation as a beneficiary in their estate plans. Alexandra, their daughter and Jose Barba, her husband as well as James, their son and Emily A. Hagan, his wife are all Bequest Society members. Both Alexandra and James are Paul Harris Fellows.
Andrew is on the board of the Rio Grande Council Boy Scouts of America as immediate past president and has served in various Council, District, and unit leadership positions in the Rio Grande Council for over 22 years. Andy’s other hobbies include bicycling,
bowling, hiking, camping, and traveling to other countries with his family.
