Today we awarded scholarships to two very deserving Interact students.  Angie Canonizado and Alexis Regner are both graduating from the International School of the Americas (ISA). They each brought members of their family to help celebrate with them.  Barry Abrams, Scholarship Chair, introduced both students and shared a little bit about them. One of Angie's strengths is "attention to detail." Angie has been a leader in the Interact club for 4 years and plans to attend the University of Southern California. She wants to do film and television studies. Our other scholarship recipient, Alexis, is known for her strength of "servant leadership." Alexis plans to attend Texas State and major either in math or special education.

We commend you Angie and Alexis for all your hard work and for being leaders to your classmates! Thank you for coming and for bringing your family members today!  You have a bright future ahead of you. We will be encouraging you every step of the way!

As is our tradition we will donate a book in honor of our scholarship recipients to the Locke Hill Elementary School library.
