Thank you Allyson Hamlin for your proposal for club members to video themselves reading a book to children for the Locke Hill Elementary Learning Tree! 
Ken Donoughue reached out to Elizabeth Garza asking about Locke Hill Campfire. He also asked Elizabeth when club members will be able to start again to read to children at the Learning Tree.
 
President John led the discussion about Governor Toson’s initiative to promote literacy with library boxes.
 
Gold Raffle Update from Committee Member Rick Rhodes!
"We need to reach out to our fellow members to ask them to commit to something on this Raffle." Secretary Mary Denton will send a reminder to all club members to help sell raffle tickets.
 
Treasurer Fred Timmons has 66 committed and expects to sell 100 tickets!
Vice President Rick Rhodes has sold 54 tickets!
 
Treasurer Fred: Has collected $7500 to date. Will need to buy gold in the next few days.
 
President John:  Regarding the new service project: Board has to consider it.  Governor Toson’s initiative to encourage literacy with mini library boxes in various locations. Said President John, “It would be a good idea to sponsor one box.” We will coordinate with the district.  Vice President Destiny Mujica has identified an apartment complex that might welcome them.
 
Volunteer Opportunities
President John: Recommending that we possibly serve a meal for Haven for Hope.
 
President Elect Rick Rhodes: Dr. Garza - he will provide the names of schools that we will be supporting with the water project in Nuevo Rosita.
