Prayer, Pledge and Visitors
The meeting began with the ringing of the bell by President Fred Timmons. Ken Ruiz led us in a word of prayer and the pledge. President Fred introduced our speaker, Bruce Richter. Bruce put together a nice slide presentation highlighting the organizations that our club supports throughout the year. He also created a new slide show for our weekly meetings.
President Fred took us through our calendar of events:
- District Conference is May 3
- Happy Hour is Thursday, May 16
- Rotary Leadership Institute is May 18
- NISD Storyfest is May 18
Scholarship Chair Barry Abrams reminded us that scholarship applicant interviews are scheduled:
ISA is Monday May 6 at 3 p.m.
Clark HS is Wednesday May 8 at 3 p.m.
He is looking for more volunteers to help interview. He said that he wants to give members who have never served on this committee to volunteer. If you wish to help please contact Barry.
