Prayer, Pledge and Visitors
The meeting began with the ringing of the bell by President Rick Tarbell. Fred Timmons led us in a word of prayer and the pledge.
Fred Timmons introduced our guests today: Scholarship Recipient Angie Canonizado and her family, Ariel, Elizabeth and Andrej Canonizado. Scholarship Recipient Alexis Regner and her mother Allison Regner-Pearson. Also joining us today was regular guest and long time friend Dave Jauer.

President Rick announced these upcoming club events:
- We enjoyed coffee that Friday, July 12. The next Coffee Friday will be Aug 8
- Happy Hour is July 18
Gold Raffle UpdateTickets will be available at our next meeting. We are very excited for the plans this year - to be held at the Mini Cooper dealership October 23rd!

This Day in History
- 1962 Telstar, the world's first communication satellite is launched in space. The satellite, made by a collaboration between organizations in the U.S., the U.K., and France, transmitted the first live television images in the world.
- 1940 Battle of Britain . The German air force of Luftwaffe launched an air campaign against England. It was one of the first battles during the Second World War fought entirely between air forces and it ended a few months later with a British victory.
