This evening was the Foundation Dinner and began with fellowship.  A great dinner was provided by our good friends Eric and Suzie.
After dinner, we honored the new Paul Harris fellows.  Ken was the Master of Ceremony and reminded us of the good works of Rotary and the prestige of a Paul Harris Award.
Bill was first in awarding a posthumous award to Father John Gibb of St. Paul’s Episcopal church.   Father John and his wife, Sally were instrumental in providing opportunities and support, not only in the church, but throughout the community, as well.  This award was accepted by Father John’s widow, Sally.  (Should be noted that Sally was also the Grand Prize winner of the Duck Race.)  Thank you John and Sally!

Jill Iwasaki was then awarded her Paul Harris Award for her successful efforts in starting the Interact Club at Windward High.  Introducing younger people to the service of Rotary is not only immediately important, but will keep Rotary providing Service above Self for generations to come.  Thank you, Jill.  Also should be noted that the Interact club is collecting new socks for the homeless.  Bring your donation to the next meeting, which will be at noon on November 17th at the Lummi Welcome Center.
This was a great dinner and time for fellowship.  If you missed it, you missed an important night.  Thanks to Ken and his crew for organizing it.
