In the wake of Australian Ashes Test batsman, Steve Smith, being struck by a bouncer from English fast bowler, Jofra Archer, Simon Cubitt's thoughts turned to Old Blighty and he was moved to propose a toast to The Rotary Club of London. The Club was chartered on 1 August 1912 as Club number 50 in the world  and the first outside North America. It's led by President Tim MacAndrews, has 110 members and meets at the Chesterfield Hotel, 35 Charles St., London on Mondays at 12.30pm. They are involved in a wide array of projects including Aquabox, a dental clinic in India, Rotary Tea Wheelchair Appeal, Rotary Life Education, Stroke Awareness, Rotakids, Interact, Rotaract, Rotary Youth Exchange, Rotary Youth Make Music, recycling printer cartridges and plastics; and working with the London Wildlife Trust.
