THE MUCH TRAVELLED STEVE GENONI TOASTS THE ROTARY CLUB OF HOUSTON

Steve proposed a toast to the Rotary Club Of Houston because the city of Houston was another of his "stamping grounds" during his working life. The Club was chartered on 1 November 1912 and is located in Rotary International District 5890. The Club has one hundred and fifteen (115) members led by President Mel Gross and they currently meet virtually via Microsoft Teams every Thursday at 12:00 noon. They sponsor three Interact Clubs and their other projects include:

  • Rotary House (connected to MD Anderson-the largest single project of any Rotary in the world)
  • Distinguished Citizen Award
  • Camp Enterprise (practical introduction to the business world for select HS Juniors)
  • Global Project (currently working on a $51,750 grant for Rainwater Harvesting in Peru)
  • Outreach to those incarcerated through Fresh Start.
