Why? Because if you put your recyclable plastic container in the council recycling bin, it is baled up and sold to the global waste market and shipped overseas. Greenbatch Processing will be WA's first waste plastic processing plant, capturing the local plastic waste market.

Greenbatch invite you to drop off your household waste items on Saturday 5th October, 11am-2pm at 4 Brooklands Way, Mt Claremont.

By 2050, it is predicted that there will be more plastic in our ocean than fish. By bringing your plastic to Greenbatch, you are helping to reverse this trend!

How it works:
1. Wash eligible household waste items of any liquid or food and flatten.
2. Place these items into a designated bin, bag or box for Greenbatch.
3. Sort them into categories by item type before you arrive on the day.
4. Dispose of your items into our labelled cages, which are categorised by item type. Volunteers are available to help you.
5. Take back any items which are not outlined in our handy guide, as we cannot dispose of them at Greenbatch.
6. Enjoy a sausage sizzle (vegan options available), check out our merchandise, plastic reprocessing equipment, and partner stalls such as Flow Vessel, and Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs.
