Rotary Blood Drive

               

Everyday people need blood and the Rotary Club of Bangor Breakfast are partnering with the American Red Cross on March 29^th to collect blood at the HOUSE 27:4 inside the Bangor Mall from 1 PM – 6 PM.

 

“We are excited to host a blood drive to collect life-saving pints of blood and to help the Red Cross celebrate March is Red Cross month,” said Caroline King, Vice President of the Bangor Rotary Club. 

 

Simply download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.

 

All eligible donors, especially blood donors with type O blood, are urgently needed to help restock the shelves for hospital patients. Donation appointments can be easily scheduled by using the free Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
