Today was a very special day for our great club. Following my communication with the club on Tuesday in relation to the masks that were being donated to Box Hill Hospital, I can now confirm they been delivered.

Below is the email received from the Director of  The Eastern Health Foundation:

Dear Dr Tilak,

I visited Upton House today and met our dedicated clinicians who asked me to extend their warmest thanks to you and everyone at Hawthorn Rotary Club for your exceptional support. I attach a photo which you are most welcome to use for promotional purposes.

I am also very touched by your kindness and compassion. Our health workers at Upton House are the unsung heroes of our health service. They work under challenging conditions with little glory or praise. What you have done lifts their spirits and provides them with much needed encouragement – thank you.

Would you be kind enough to provide me with a mailing address as we would like to send you a framed certificate of appreciate and an official letter of thanks?

Warmest regards,

Jason Smith

Director, Eastern Health Foundation
