Where I am today is my starting point.

Who I am today is my starting point.

My failures and successes of the past, my fears and hopes of the future are all shadows.

Today is my reality, and I'll use it to create my world.

Andrew Crockett  reminds us about the Taverners Sporting Chance Raffle, which we are supporting again this year as a means of raising funds for the Club.

We have sold $445 worth of tickets to date, from which the Club will receive $222.50.  We would like to increase the amount the Club receives to closer to last year’s figure of $1037.

If you haven’t already purchased tickets please consider doing so.

Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at https://www.raffletix.com.au/?ref=3ec8n&sref=cvcmsnma

DIK Update

Do you want the good news or the bad?

Let us start with the good 😊

DIK is open with COVID rules in place. Nurse Manager Deb Sloggett is in charge.

So now the bad news 😒

Bob Glindemann, DIK Manager, informed us yesterday that there are approx. 60 pallets of medical supplies to be sorted!
We have decided to call a small team together to start sorting and organising the medical aisles.  The first few days will be stocktaking and planning, and later we will be asking for volunteers to sort and pack the backlog. No medical knowledge required, no heavy lifting. (That’s what the fork-lifts are for)
So keep an eye open: we shall be needing your help!

Walk to End Polio

And you know which Rotary Club is top of the Leader Board, in the Walk to End Polio Event? Hawthorn!

The Shadow spotted our walking group warming up at the Frisch Holzer Park on Saturday.

Meanwhile Peter and Charlotte England were pacing around the bay, and they found that those Pesky Pistermans are everywhere!

Well done. team!

The Sergeant-at-Arms will no doubt be speaking to the Sweepstake winners.

Look out, Ian MacFarlane, David Rush, Richard Logan, Charlotte England (twice), Bernie Walshe and Noel McInnes.
