In 2008 long term Hawthorn Rotarian, Russell House was presented with a Paul Harris award. Recall these are given to members for recent past very significant service to the club and Rotary. He was 83 years! What an effort. Still even today Russell is going strong at 93 years. Although no longer a member and choosing not to attend our meetings he follows our activities with interest.

At the direction to the editor by one member to alert members to Russell's contact details and write something relevant a Google search initially uncovered the following "Russell House, the oldest residence in Melbourne’s CBD". On examination it does not relate to our past colleague but Russell House or The Old Corner Shop, as it is often called.
