Gillian met Bib when he drove at Le Mans and she was his Race Secretary fo Aston Martin.

She was always a vital and charming member of the Rotary Club of Hawthorn.

My earliest memories date back 40 odd years ago when she was on the Parents Association of Fintona where our girls went to school. I recall one day when, as a family, she Bib and the children were flying to Alice Springs for the day in their private jet!

They spent some years in Tucson Arizona where Bib was the Head of the Learjet Corporation.

After returning to Australia they built a beautiful home on acreage at Wonga Park. This was the site for a fabulous picnic day for our Club. Bib commuted daily to his BMW office from their ‘paradise’ at Wonga Park.

As a family they contributed both physically and financially to the Rotary Club of Hawthorn. We recall their enormous support as Sponsors of our Conference in Sydney when David was District Governor in 1994/5.

Our paths converged again at Epworth Hospital where Gillian was on the Committee and a valued member of the Friends of Epworth group.

We missed her vitality in recent years as she focused on her health in her home in Armadale.

We are proud to be able to call Gillian a friend and mentor to Rotary over many years and for this she was named a Paul Harris Fellow. She will be sorely missed.
