Last night we enjoyed a long awaited get together at Kooyong Tennis Club. A total of 57 members, partners and guests all came together to appreciate the year we have had and enjoy a delicious menu and drinks.

Entertainment for the evening was a highlight with the Jazz band ‘Spellbound’, led by Barry Boys (from Australian Jazz museum). Thanks again to Noel McInnes for organising the entertainment.

President elect Andrew Crockett was the MC for the evening and opened the occasion by acknowledgment of Country and Welcome to Country before the proceedings began. Thank-you to Andrew and his club service team, for organising this wonderful fellowship event. (Pre-Multi district conference dinner)

Amongst the dancing and laughter, we still managed to raise just under $400 for the East Timor hand sanitisation project. The club has already approved $1000 toward this worthy project. Lucky winners of the raffle were Katrina Flinn, Julie Collette and Julie Clark.
Special Thank-you to my long friends, Dr Aniello Ianuzzi and Dr Eve Tsinoris who donated the wines from their Hunter Valley vineyard, Mount Eyre – Three Ponds wines, for the raffle.

We toasted Mark Christoffelisz and his fiancé Jasmin, for their recent engagement over Ularu. We wish you all the very best for your future.

Our wishes were sent to our Director of community services, Denbigh Richards, who is recovering in hospital. Your absence was noted by our club.

I would like to extend my appreciation to all those who were able to attend and hope you enjoyed yourself as much as Donna and myself.

I would like to   remind you multi-district virtual conference would be held this weekend May 1st to 2nd.

Nest Tuesday the 4th of May   lunch meeting at Kooyong tennis club with the guest speaker Rebecca Wilson who has the local knowledge of Kate Kelly who is daring sister of our legendary bushranger Ned Kelly.

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy this beautiful weather.

President Dr Tilak Dissanayake
