President Charlotte has certainly been busy, working away behind the scenes to prepare our Zoom meetings, and attending the District Assembly as an incoming Assistant District Governor.

Also, see below for her musical recommendations:

Delphine is certainly the embodiment of the 21st century professional.  Her presentation today, in her second language, had all the trappings of a commensurate business person who knows exactly what they are looking for and how to get there .  It is positively refreshing to sit and listen to a bright, articulate and driven individual who has taken many risks to achieve their objectives.  France's lose our gain!  It will be exciting to watch Delphine as she develops her business over the next few years. Also, in these difficult times, it was interesting to hear how Delphine had thought outside the box to develop new ways of enhancing her business through offering skills based courses in conjunction with the  experts who work with her so that others could experience the world of Maison Lesage. Congratulations Delphine for an enlightening presentation.

We had 36 attendees today.  It was good to see Assistant Governor Nick Pane, Jane Drury and Eulalia Triana join our Zoom meeting and also wonderful to have 32 members many of whom were trying Zoom for the first time. Our Zoom connection is certainly keeping Club members in touch which is so important.

On Sunday 10 members joined the District Assembly.  There were just over 350 participants at the Assembly which was held on Zoom. The Plenary session was opened by District Governor Elect Philip Archer (right). There were a number of interesting speakers during the Plenary session and we were given a large choice of breakout sessions which were of considerable value.  If members who were not able to join in on Sunday the District website has recorded sessions which you may wish to look at.

The donations that members have kindly given towards the Boroondara Cares Chances Program has been considerable and I would like to thank David Pisterman for his suggestion of asking members to donate towards special causes each week. The amount of money raised in two weeks will assist one student for an entire year. It is so important that we are able to do this as there are many children who depend on support from Rotary.

For all those members interested in my weekly music suggestions please see below some recommendations.

Bruckner Symphony No.7

Bax Spring Fire Symphony

Stay safe and well.
