Accommodation for a “Friend of Rotary”A most valued “Friend of Rotary” is seeking longer term accommodation:
1 bedroom with private bathroom and access to cooking facilities
Our friend Jad, is a mature student at Swinburne.
He is re-skilling to become a residential builder as his overseas sociology degree does not enable him to pursue this vocation.
Long term residency and work permit provides him with the possibility to build his new home and career in Australia. Jad is originally from Iran.
The last nine months our local community has benefited from Jad’s regular and dedicated support of Rotary community support activities such as: the Christmas lunch and multiple fund raising activities.
Circumstances beyond Jad’s control have seen it necessary for him to move from shared accommodation to find a new place to live by 25 June.
Current situation has hit many hard, not least Jad during these difficult times. He has had to find a new job, from a library position to one within the security sector. This should support Jad financially. Unfortunately, Covid-19 government based support does not extend to Jad.
