Welcome to our first face-to-face meeting in a long while! As you would know from the general media, there are some restrictions in place for meetings: the 4sqm per person rule applies, as well as proof of full vaccination. Room capacity presently is 22 persons maximum.
INTRODUCING OUR SPEAKER:
Iain Walker is Executive Director of the newDemocracy Foundation (nDF) in Australia, a role he has held since 2011.
‘newDemocracy’ is an independent, non-partisan research and development organisation which aims to discover, develop, demonstrate, and promote complementary alternatives which will restore trust in public decision making.
In the past Iain has led over 20 trial projects at local government and state government level including projects for State Premiers on both sides of politics. The topics have ranged from long-term budgeting for the $4bn City of Melbourne Financial Plan to the potential for a high-level nuclear waste storage facility in South Australia. In the water industry, nDF designed the 2017 Citizens’ Jury process for Yarra Valley Water.
Meal service: Lamb Cutlets with Potato Mash, Asparagus Spears, Honey Carrots and Red Wine Jus.
Vegetarian Option: Corn Fritters with Avocado and Black Bean Salsa
Please confirm your attendance a.s.a.p, as the capacity for the meeting room is capped at 22 persons maximum.
