Ku-ring-gai International Womens Day Celebration in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Wahroonga

Be Bold for Change in 2017

Be Bold

In 2017 Ku-ring-gai Council's celebration of International Women's Day will take the form of a Nepalese Cultural Evening to be held in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Wahroonga.  The event will involve an authentic Nepalese Thali sit down dinner with colourful entertainment and a presentation on IWD themes.

The evening is aimed both at celebrating International Women's Day in Ku-ring-gai and at raising funds for the Nepalese projects of the Rotary Club of Wahroonga.

Three projects will benefit: Days for Girls - Nepal, the Brave Centre, (a training centre for disabled young people in Kathmandu), and Hostel of Bhawani Higher Secondary School in the remote Gorkha Region of Nepal. The projects are consistent with the themes of International Women's Day - BeBoldForChange - and will assist in celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
