Drive-thru Food Drive

Our next drive-thru food drive is Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon in the bus loop of Pittsford Sutherland High School. In addition to the Pittsford Food Cupboard, the drive will benefit Dimitri House, serving those in need in Rochester with food, shelter and services.

Specific Christmas needs for this drive include sugar (all types); sprinkles; icing; frosting; baking chips (all types); corned beef hash; Bisquick; syrup; and flavored tea. Other food items needed are collard greens; spinach; beets; olives; lima beans; yellow waxed beans; tomato products (crushed, paste, whole or iced); mushrooms; mandarin oranges (canned only); Spam; sardines; clams; salmon; anchovies; coffee; hot cocoa; and cereal. Also needed are cleaning supplies and cat food.   

Rotarians will be collecting items, rain or shine. The collectors will be taking precautionary measures such as wearing face coverings and gloves and maintaining safe distances. 

Dimitri House is among many organizations benefiting from Pittsford Rotary's mission of service.  The club is doing the drives the first Saturday of every month through next spring.
