3 Things Rotary “Brick & Mortar” Deliver!

1) A place to rest and dream
2) A place to gather with the ones you love
3) A place to call HOME

Corning Rotary members Francis LaLomia, Melanie Owens and Kelly Copp joined a team of 39 this past April who traveled to Talnique, El Salvador to build homes and dreams! The traveling carpenters included 13 from the Corning area. The youngest team members included Rotary Interact students from CPP High School - Shivani Tambi, Sophie Henneman, Nina Dingel and Becky Roche.

During the 9 day trip the team built right alongside the families that would eventually occupy the modest 400 Sq. Ft. homes. They shared smiles, laughter, tears and dreams long dreamed. Ultimately, these tiny little homes, big in heart, provide welcome shelter to a family of 6-14 that includes 3 generations of loved ones!

"These Rotary brick and mortar projects are important because not only are they changing the lives of the communities we build in, but the ones who are donating their time and money as well." ~ Francis LaLomia
