Could You Use Some Help Today ~Avis Bailey

There's so many times I call on you

for the needs of the day,

Day or night you are always there

when I kneel down to pray.

So I thought with all the things you do

I'd just call on you to say,

Is there anything I can do for you

to help you out today.

If someone's having troubles

I'd be willing to volunteer.

If they need someone to listen

I'd gladly lend my ear.

If they're lonely, sick, or dying

I'd be the friend they need that day.

With all the work that's facing you,Lord

Could you use some help today.

I wonder if there are any times

you feel you need to get away.

I wonder if some prayers to you

you would like to just delay.

I know you are not the kind of God

who will ever be dismayed,

But I offer to you, that I'm willing to do

whatever will help today.
