A voyage of Uncommon Sense
Cresswell Walker came to day as a motivational speaker to speak to us on our choices in life.
He used his own sailing mishaps at sea to illustrate his points.
Having spent many years on the high seas he asks the question of us
What choices have you made yourself or have you allowed others to make for you?
How do we miss the chances to chose for ourselves?
He thinks we can start by paying attention to what has our attention.

The Uncommon Sense of the Sail7Cs will help you get off the dock and to out sea in discovery of your own destiny, whatever that might be.

He finished with a poem,

We sailed a little boat around the world.
It was awesome - awful, lonely - lively, bleak - bountiful.
Like life.
We sailed 300 days and nights, 50,000 miles, and still, for all of that, we wound up where we started.
How could that be?

“Well you see, the world is round” he said. “Like life” “We head off with great intent, with great industry, risk our lives, use ourselves up, and we wind up in the same place.”

Do we?
I looked again.
The place is familiar, but I am not.
Ah yes, the journey changed us, changed me.

We sailed a little boat around the world. It was awesome - awful, lonely - lively, bleak - bountiful.
Like life.
We sailed 300 days and nights, 50,000 miles, but never came back. Like life.
We never came back, because we could not come back.
The world is round, but life is not.
Life is a spiral.

Quote of the week

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.
