The meeting commenced with another reason, among many, of the tax advantages for bequests made to the Rotary Foundation.
This was followed by our Rotarians and visitors enjoying our AGM wherein the previous year’s Minutes were approved unanimously followed by our secretary, president and all officers offering their annual reports on the past year’s finances and achievements. There was a particularly happy mention of a markable increase in new, younger and active members. The event clearly fostered our continued Fellowship as did the Annual Rotary Christmas Dinner. For this occasion many of our Rotarians and their guests repaired to the Annual Christmas Dinner held this year on Sunday December 11, 2016 in a private festively decorated room at the Arbutus Club. The post dinner entertainment devised by Dianna Smith, (whose word was final) was a delightful brain teaser testing each tables’ answers to 25 questions about all things “Christmas’.
