Hello Donors, 

Here at Blood4Research, we are continuously evaluating whether additional deferral policies or additional measures are needed to protect our donors, employees, and volunteers. Due to the increase in the number of countries affected by the COVID-19 outbreak and the growing number of new cases outside of Canada, Canadian Blood Services is updating its eligibility requirements for donors.

For Blood4Research donations, please take note of the following:

• Refrain from donating for 2 weeks after returning from international travel, as we will be applying 14-day deferrals.
• As always, we ask our donors to cancel the donation appointment and stay at home if they are not feeling well.
• If you have had contact (or suspected contact) with anyone with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19  infection or if you have had the infection yourself, please cancel your donation appointment and contact us for information about the deferral periods.
