Tunkhannock High School Students Win District Essay and Poster Contests

The winning essay and poster from the Tunkhannock Rotary Club competition for Tunkhannock High School Students, were submitted to Rotary District 7410 for the District-wide contest. The essay by Gabrielle Frigano tied for 3rd place in the District competition and Gabrielle was invited to read her essay at the District Conference on April 25. She also received her award certificate and $100 prize money at the conference.

 

The poster by Meridian Garinger was the winner of the District Poster Contest. Meridian received a prize of $300 and an award certificate for her winning poster. In addition, her poster which the Club had scanned, enlarged and printed onto canvas was unveiled at District Conference and remained on prominent display for the rest of the conference.
