A Year Later: Building Understanding & Community
Rotarian Vaney Hariri & SFPD Lt. Jon Thum

As we mark the one-year anniversary of our initial program focused on building understanding and community, Downtown Rotarian Vaney Hariri will again join Sioux Falls Police Lieutenant Jon Thum to discuss where we are in the process a year later. Rotary International describes itself as a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. As community leaders, we feel it is important for our club to continue the conversation happening around the world regarding racism in America, and especially focus on what we can do in Sioux Falls. We hope that you will join us.

The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the Holiday Inn City Centre, Sioux Falls and will begin about noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. Please use this link to reserve your lunch that will be available beginning at 11:30 am. You can eat during the meeting or take it with you after.

Face masks will be strongly encouraged for all attending. Distancing protocols will be followed.

All programs are recorded and streamed live on Facebook & YouTube. Local media are invited to attend to record the session. We will continue to stream our meetings live so you can watch them from your home or office. Attendance is optional.

If you do not feel well, or have been exposed to Covid, we ask that you stay home and join us online.
