As an old saying goes, "hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard." Staying dedicated until a favorable outcome is achieved is of utmost importance. This theme of perseverance is one William tries his best to live by. Whether in the field of athletics, extracurriculars, or academics, perseverance is the trait that will enable you to reach your goals and desires.

At LSHS, William participates in various sports including Varsity Alpine Skiing as a Captain, Varsity Soccer, and tennis which he has recently taken up. Skiing is one of the biggest parts of his life. He frequently travels around the country attending various ski camps and races. His efforts have resulted in being ranked as one of the top 5 slalom skiers in the country.

He loves to stay involved in extracurricular activities. He is currently a Senior Class Officer, member of the Student council, Cougars Leading Cougars Officer, member of the Math League, and former member of the Science Olympiad and Mock Trail teams. In addition, he founded the LSHS Cribbage Club, and the LSHS Coding club, to bring students together in respective fields of interest. Being the head of various organizations and clubs has taught him valuable lessons in leadership and teamwork.

As a student, he has taken the hardest classes available, and stayed dedicated in each one of them. His hard work has gotten him ranked 2nd in the class of 400+ students, in addition to being a National AP Scholar. The staff at LSHS has been perhaps the greatest source of his academic success. Each staff member is supportive, kind, and talented in and beyond their fields of specialty. They have encouraged him to be the best student he could possibly be.

After graduating high school, he plans to pursue a four-year degree in either engineering or science at a top-level technical university, and eventually pursue his masters and doctorate. He is considering getting an MBA, and possibly founding a startup.

His goal in life is to make a considerable positive impact in the world, something that will be recognized for generations to come. He plans to accomplish this by means of helping others in the community and beyond. Like the mission of the Rotary Club, he aspires to put service before self, helping others ahead of his self-interest.
