The Jack Dempsey in Reno Story

Guy Clifton is a longtime Nevada journalist, having spent 30 years in the newspaper business building a niche for covering uniquely Nevada stories. He spent 22 years with the Reno Gazette-Journal and is a former editor of the Gardnerville Record-Courier and Tahoe World and a former news and sports editor of the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza. He is the author of seven books, all with ties to Nevada history, including “You Know You’re A Nevada, if…”, “Reno Rodeo: A History”, “Johnson-Jeffries: Dateline Reno,” and “Dempsey in Nevada.” He lives in Reno with his dogs, Lucky and Scruffy, and works as the events and public relations manager for Sundance Books and Music.
