A Peace Conversation, about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, was our challenge last Wednesday.

It was unfortunate some members missed today's meeting, it was quite impactful.  20 members attended the conversation, the main facilitator went through the guidelines.  We divided into 3 breakout groups, each participant shared their thoughts among their own group. Then we got back together, with each group presenting a summary of their discussion.

As one might imagine the discussions were diverse.  What were the "take aways", what did we learn?  In short, we needed more time to expand on our thoughts and develop actionable plans.  You yourself, probably saw the title of this event and wondered about what that meant from your perspective.  Getting together is the first step.  More people, more thoughts, and more concepts and more actions.  Every member matters....does that phrase sound familiar?  We are Rotary.  You and I, we bring the ideas, the energy and the resources needed to make good things happen.  Yes, Diversity matters and so does equity and inclusion.  All are brought to bear to advance Peace in our Club, in our District, in our Zone and throughout the world.  Help, contribute, participate, get involved....that's how things work.
