Wed Luncheon - Tanzania Project, Peter Ackhurst

Peter is working with the Golden Sunrise Rotary club in Arusha, Tanzania to put together a global grant project in a little town of Karatu. It involves 6 primary schools and tree planting around the schools and the town and the local farmers.  The grant has not been approved, 6 Rotary Clubs in BC have offered funds and still working on fundraising for the project.

Peter was the past D5040 Community Service Chair, he is a forester and lived and worked in Tanzania for 2 years.  He has been working on several global grant projects in Uganda over the past 10 years
