Rotary Peace Scholarship - Gloria Staudt
Each year, Rotary selects up to 100 professionals from around the world to receive fellowships to study at one of our peace centers.Through academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities, the Rotary Peace Centers program develops leaders who become catalysts for peace and conflict prevention and resolution.
In just over a decade, the Rotary Peace Centers have trained more than 1,000 fellows for careers in peacebuilding. Many of them are serving as leaders at international organizations or have started their own foundations.
Since 2008 Rotary Foundation has chosen 5 out of the 6 Rotary Peace Scholars in our district. The Rotary Foundation has recently invited our district to be a Rotary Peace Centers At-Large District to accept applicants from countries where there are no Rotary clubs or districts that have not established a well functioning Rotary Peace Centers committee like ours.
Gloria Staudt is a Business & Life Strategist, providing consulting, mentoring, training and coaching solutions to improve communications, teamwork, performance and productivity through proprietary processes. She is author of the book, Live Your Vacation: The Ultimate Guide to Live Your Dream Life... Every Day! and contributing author of Conscious Entrepreneurs and Love Like God: Embracing Unconditional Love.
Her community contributions are through her involvement with the Burnaby Board of Trade and Rotary.
