Mr. Spain’s extensive experience includes over 50 years of banking, financial services and consulting work specifically engaged in the formation of new businesses and service in the United States Marine Corps. 

In the private sector, Mr. Spain worked with local and national lenders in various senior leadership roles and positions including bank regulatory (FSLIC/FDIC) compliance duties associated with troubled financial institutions. 

As a Marine, Mr. Spain received the rank of Staff Sergeant and was awarded the U.S. Navy Commendation Medal with Combat V for Vietnam Service.  From his Vietnam service, Mr. Spain is an Agent Orange/Colon Cancer survivor, and he achieved 100% Service-Disabled Veteran status with the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs in July 2019.
