Armont is the lead financial planner at Richard P. Slaughter Associates, Inc., one of Austin’s largest independent wealth management firms. She grew up in Atlanta and moved to Austin to attend The University of Texas, and like many others, couldn’t bear to leave such a great city. Darby is a Certified Financial Professional, a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder, and earned her Masters in Business Administration from UT in 2009.

She also leads participant education for the retirement plans division of her firm.
Darby’s service to the community includes serving as the Secretary of the Board for AGE of Central Texas and has been a volunteer mentor for the Ann Richards School since 2010.
