Patrick will speak to how digital and alternative payment methods are changing how banks do business, as a growing, younger generation is slow to adopt services that cannot be done online through their mobile devices.
Patrick Johnson has been a banker in Austin for 20 years. Starting in 1999 at JP Morgan Chase, where he worked for 7 years as Branch Manager and then as Business Relationship Manager for the South Austin market. He then moved to First State Bank Central Texas (2006-2016) as a Commercial Banker, progressing to President & Branch Manager, weathering the recession to consistently grow a commercial relationship portfolio by responding to the needs of small- and medium- sized businesses not often met by big banks. In mid 2016 he was hired as the CEO of Frontier Bank of Texas, and charged with accelerating the growth of the successful, ten-year-old bank into Travis and Williamson Counties, expanding it in just 3 years from two locations to six.
