Jim Maxwell and Michele Cooper will talk to us about the close relationship between Rotary and the Peace Corps, including the work of Partnering for Peace which bridges the two organizations.
Jim Maxwell was a Peace Corps Volunteer in India from 1969 to 1971. Jim served as a hydro-geologist in the North Indian state of Haryana, helping them establish a data collection system to monitor ground water changes throughout the state. Jim has a bachelors degree in Geology and a masters degree in Anthropology. He is also licensed as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and worked for 28 years at Texas NeuroRehab Center as a vocational counselor. Jim is currently retired.
