Membership in Rotary

If there is one thing the Rotary Cub of West Sacramento knows how to do, it's how to have fun!  From exciting meetings, to the contagious camaraderie during our social activities and club projects, we are an undeniably fun group to be a part of.  You're almost guaranteed to leave our meetings each time with a smile on your face.


 

Being a Rotarian not only allows you to have a voice in your community, but the manpower and strength to make a change. For over sixty-years, our Rotarians have put Service Above Self by giving back to the local community. Community Service fosters and encourages the ideal of service to the personal, business, and community life of every Rotarian.  The average Rotary club consists of the most active citizens of any community.
 

As a member of our club, you will also be welcome to attend meetings at any one of the 31,000 clubs in 164 nations and geographical regions across the world.  Being a part of Rotary means being aware of other cultures and issues across the world.  You will also be offered the opportunity to participate in projects on an International level and be a part of the 1.2 million Rotarians who make a difference in the world.

 

The members Rotary Club of West Sacramento represent leaders from a cross-section of the community’s owners, executives, managers, political leaders, and professionals – people who make decisions and influence policy.  Being a part of an organization of leaders means learning how to motivate, influence, and lead leaders.

 

Our club is known for having some of the most influential and interesting speakers who cover a variety of topics from an environmental need that we should be more aware of to a moment in history that enlightens us.  These speakers make our weekly gatherings something to look forward to.
 

 

The Rotary Club of West Sacramento plays an active youth in mentoring and fostering leadership abilities in our youth. From the sponsoring role with the high school Interact Club from the ongoing attendance and updates of the youth leaders from a variety of the local schools, our club makes a difference in their lives.  In addition, since its establishment, our club has donated over $500,000 in scholarships to our local students funded by the West Sacramento Rotary Foundation.

 

Our club has been the foundation of lifelong friendships and bonds.  You will meet several others like yourself who have high ethical standards and want to make a difference in the world. In addition, your family will get to know Rotary as guests to our weekly gatherings or through some of our infamously entertaining social events and parties.
