The West Sacramento Rotary Club's Anniversary Dinner recognized Past Presidents. Fidel Castro (Dave Kamminga) even made an appearance. The following Past Presidents were recognized: John F. Kennedy (Ken Wilson), Bill Clinton (Andy Wallace), Woodrow Wilson (Mark Engstrom), Ronald Reagan (Jim Cahill), Richard Nixon (Dick Marshall), Teddy Roosevelt (Jeff Post), William Taft (Drew Gidlof), Abraham Lincoln (Bob Collins) and Ulysses Grant (Tim Carnahan).
The Mighty Rotary Club of West Sacramento held it Annual High School Speech Contest. Under the leadership of Youth Leadership Chairs, Joanie Kapell and JoAnn Moffett, three outstanding students from River City High School Competed. The winner will compete at the Area Contest to be held in at the Elk Grove City Hall on March 24th.w

Join members of the Mighty West Sacramento Rotary club for lunch on Fridays, at 12:15 p.m. at the Club Pheasant Restaurant, 2525 Jefferson Blvd., West Sacramento.
Seven members of the West Sacramento Rotary Club each donated $100 to ALS Research and $100 to the West Sacramento Rotary Education Foundation for the privilege to have buckets of ice water dumped over their heads.
