For this week's presentation, we have St. John Ambulance's Anna Boekhoven and Leanne Strachan discussing their organization and their efforts, including an initiative to install defibrillators across British Columbia.

Anna's Bio:

Anna is Manager of Sponsorship and Fund Development and has filled various roles at SJA over the past two and a half years. She is a part time student completing a Bachelor of Business Administration and Marketing Management at Langara College.

Leanne's Bio:

Experienced Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Executive with two times International Sales Awards. 30 + years in Sales Leadership, Business Development, and Marketing. Leanne has managed and stewarded several multi-million-dollar sales territories in both challenging and favorable market conditions. In her role with St. John Ambulance, her focus has been the launch of the Start Me UP BC’s latest action in our commitment to place 1,000 publicly accessible AED’s (Automated External Defibrillators), with a lifesaving companion App, across British Columbia and the Yukon. As a social enterprise, the revenue generated by St John Ambulance BC&Y is reinvested in community services programs and training, which in turn further supports the mission of the organization to lives at home, work, and play.
