Creating Inclusive and Nourishing Dialogue at Home and in the World

Wednesday, March 22, 7:30 PM, Reformed Church Bronxville, Calvin Room

Two experts in global mediation and conflict resolution, Antti Pentikainen and Aaro Rytkonen, offer techniques for defusing tension in all kinds of conversations, including politics across party lines. Participants will learn strategies for creating safe spaces, speaking and listening with generosity, and respectfully agreeing to disagree. The goal is to foster healthier conversations at home and in the public square.

Aaro Rytkonen is Executive Director of Al Amana Centre, an interfaith dialogue centre in Oman, building peace between Muslims and Christians.  Antti Pentikainen is Executive Director of the Secretariat and Convener of Network for Religious and Traditional Peacemakers-Special Envoy for the Prime Minister of Finland for the Migration Crisis.
