  • We need someone to be the Chair of the 2017 Taste of Derby fundraising event. Please talk to Laura if you're interested.
  • Heather has sent around sign up sheets for the Janesville Farmers Market AND our Corn Roast event. If you haven't signed up yet, please do it NOW. We are only a few weeks away and need everyone's full participation!
  • Raffle: 
Today's presentation was given by the Beloit-Janesville Symphony, Robert Tomaro, Music Director and Edie Barron. Rob talked about the history of the orchestra--and in its 60-year span, there have only been three directors. Rob has been director for 17 years now.
 
The 2016-17 season is going to be a great one. It starts with A Wild Ride in the Night! on October 29 at Eaton Chapel on the Beloit College Campus, at 7:30 p.m. This concert features scary Halloween favorites.
 
Dancing with the Stars! Fundraiser for BJSO on November 20 at 2pm at JPAC. 
 
Ring in the Holidays with BJSO & Badger Chordhawks! December 22 at 7:30 p.m. at JPAC, includes performances of your holiday favorites!
 
March Madness with the Rock Goddess of the Electric Violin and the World Premiere of a new work by Mathew Hollingsworth. March 11 at 7:30 p.m., Eaton Chapel Beloit College
 
A Visit to the Carnival of the Animals! by Camille Saint Saens on May 12 at JPAC.

More than 6,000 Rotary members in 154 countries reported on their experiences with the new grant model as part of an evaluation during the 2015-16 Rotary year. The results will help us improve the grant process and learn what impact the Foundation's global grants have on our areas of focus. Among the key findings: 90 percent of respondents support the grant model; 86 percent see it as an improvement over the former model.
