On Tuesday, June 9th at 6 PM, our club had a virtual meeting over the telephone and internet via Zoom.
Invocation was read by Laura Pellerano.
The pledge was led by Carl Lusby, Ashley Johnson took notes and Tony and Julie Bouchard took attendance.

Checking In/Happy Dollars: Jo Cooper started the meeting by asking each person to give a recap of how they were doing. We heard from Ashley Johnson, Ray Williams, JoAnn Brown, Rod Fox, Carl Lusby, Marian and Dave Wells, Fred Breyer, Scott Kimball, Allegra Pellerano, Clyde Cushing, Pam Cushing, Dan Frye, Gene Pellerano, Laura Pellerano, Iris Simon, Lincoln and Debbie Ehrlenbach, Rhonda Parker and Tracy Shaffer.

Rotary Business:
- Blood Drive Update: The next blood drive was at the Elks Lodge today (June 9th) from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Please contact Scott Kimball if you would like to volunteer in the future.
- Board Meeting Update: The Board of Directors met earlier today via Zoom. Laura Pellerano discussed her goals for next year as President and looks forward to her year!
Guest Speaker: This week’s guest speaker was Jim Willis. Jim is currently the Police Chief of Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island Police Departments. Jim began his law enforcement career in 1987 at the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department. In 2003 he became the Chief of Police for Mount Desert. In 2013 he was asked to be the Chief of Bar Harbor in addition to Mount Desert.
Both Police Departments are made up of full-time officers. These officers work year round, covering Bar Harbor and Mount Desert's jurisdiction and enforcing state laws and town ordinances. The primary mission is and will continue to protect and serve our community to the greatest extent possible, to protect life and property, and prevent crime by vigorously delivering the best possible services when crime occurs.
