On Tuesday, June 2nd at 6 PM, our club had a virtual meeting over the telephone and internet via Zoom.
Invocation was by Rob Hemenway and read by Jo Cooper.
The pledge was led by Carl Lusby, Ashley Johnson took notes and Tony and Julie Bouchard took attendance.

Checking In/Happy Dollars: Jo Cooper started the meeting by asking each person to give a recap of how they were doing. We heard from Ashley Johnson, Fred Breyer, Marian and Dave Wells, Melody Pereira, Ray Williams, Rod Fox, Carl Lusby, Allegra Pellerano, Clyde Cushing, Pam Cushing, Dan Frye, Scott Kimball, Rhonda Parker, Tony and Julie Bouchard and JoAnn Brown.
All Happy Dollars goes towards Everybody Eats this quarter. Don’t forget about Polio Plus and EREY!

- Blood Drive Update: The next blook drive is at the Elks Lodge on Tuesday, June 9th from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Please contact Scott Kimball if you would like to volunteer.

Guest Speaker: This week’s guest speaker was Barbara Kates. Barbara Kates is a non-Native woman from Bangor and has a small consulting business. She volunteers with Maine-Wabanaki REACH. She became involved with REACH after decades of developing child welfare related programs here in Maine. For the past six years she was a community organizer for REACH and recently has shifted to volunteer work developing and facilitating programs.
Maine-Wabanaki REACH is a cross cultural organization of Wabanaki and Maine people. Wabanaki are the indigenous people of Maine and include the Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Maliseet, and Micmac tribes and smaller groups of Native people. REACH was created to develop the Maine Wabanaki State Child Welfare Truth and Reconciliation Commission which ran from 2012to 2015. Now REACH continues to work on the recommendations of that commission to support Wabanaki self-determination through truth, healing, and change.
