Welcome
The Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam Oyster Bay currently supports three Rotaract clubs and one Interact club. The clubs have been actively involved in the club’s service projects in particular the Community Health Initiative (CHI) and the Swimathon. In addition they have been involved in the Rotary Dar Marathon as participants and volunteers.
Each club has its own flagship project among which are water and sanitation, providing desks and other supplies to a chosen school, support to an orphanage and an annual blood drive activities. The Blood Drive involves all Rotaract clubs in Dar es Salaam.
The current membership across all the four clubs is 70.
RCDOB Youth Services Plans 2014-2015
- Membership: maintain the current membership with the clubs and increase participation especially in their service projects and club activities. In addition training for the members to coordinate and conducted by the club and Rotaract district team
- New Club: we will recruit and charter one interact club.
- Youth Exchange: prepare for one rotaractor/interactor for outbound exchange 2015/2016
- RYLA - (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) support five members attendance to the event
- Service Projects: Involvement of the clubs in the CHI, the Swimathon, school desks project, the One Billion Rising event and the Rotary Dar Marathon
