RCGI Golf Tournament Update 04/09/2016

Exciting News

The Raffle prizes are now fixed.

1st Prize is the Yamaha Trail Bike seen above thanks to Mr. Gregor Louis and KP Marine

2nd Prize is a Trip for Two to New York City on JetBlue

3rd Prize is a Trip for Two to Miami on American Airlines

There will be other prizes most likely but we will launch the Raffle this week. Rotarians are asked to ensure that we sell all of the 2,000 tickets.

So far we have confirmed 22 teams and we expect that we will have a full house as the excitement grows.

Rotary District 6960 PDG Steve Schlueter and his Wife Pam were this week inducted into the Arch C. Klumph Society (Donation of US$250,000 or more). Rotary Foundation Major Gifts Coordinator, Debra Lowe who accompanied PDG Steve on his last visit posted the news on face Book On Friday September 2nd. On behalf of the thousands of people who TRF helps every year and most especially from that tiny fraction from Saint Lucia, we say a BIG THANK YOU to these generous, wonderful people who we are proud to call friends.

Rotaract Club of Gros Islet Donates School Supplies

On Saturday 3rd September, 2016, the Rotaract Club of Gros Islet made a worthwhile donation of school supplies to three students in the Gros Islet community. The three students who will all be attending different schools at different levels, were presented with backpacks filled with books, writing materials and other much needed school supplies.

For its part, the Rotary Club of Gros Islet made a monetary contribution towards this community service project. We believe that any contribution to a child's academic growth and development will generate multiple positive returns on that investment. We wish the students a very productive school year and encourage the Rotaractors to keep up the good work!

Meeting on August 30th 2016

The last meeting of August (Membership Development Month) was held at St. James Club thanks to the very special invitation from past RCGI member Sharon Valmont who went all out to make us welcome and ensured that the service and food were exceptionally good..
